Rose is a Partner of the firm, with over 20 years of experience in the areas of estate planning, probate and administration of estates, special needs planning, and asset protection strategies, including business succession, advanced tax planning and Medicaid qualification.

In addition to her role as trusted advisor and advocate to her clients, Rose is an appointed member of the New York State Supreme Court Roster of Mediators.  Rose’s training and experience as a mediator brings a valuable component to her approach to the sensitive issues faced by clients and their families.

A graduate of Stony Brook University, Rose received her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was an Academic Merit Scholar and Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.  Always eager to share her knowledge with students and the community, Rose is an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk Community College, past instructor of Business Law at St. Joseph’s College, and frequent lecturer on the subjects of elder law and estate planning.

Rose is a member of the Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Suffolk County.  She is active in the Suffolk County Bar Association, serving as mediator and arbitrator of fee disputes, and has received the Association’s Award of Recognition for her service as Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee and in recognition of her service to the Suffolk County Pro Bono Project.

Rose lives in Smithtown with her husband and three children and serves her community as a member of the Smithtown Industry Advisory Board, mentor to high school business students, and judge of Smithtown High School’s Business Olympics.   An accomplished musician, Rose actively supports local music programs as a member of the advisory Board for the Friends of Music of Smithtown and as Counsel to the Smithtown Community Band.
